Massimo Gargano is Director – General of ANBI (National Association of Irrigation Reclamations). He holds a degree in Agricultural Sciences at the University of Perugia and Master in in the Economy of the agri-food system at the SMEA in Cremona.
In the period between 1996 and 2014 he was President of the Consortium "Pratica di Mare" . Between 1999 and January 2013 he was President of the Coldiretti Regional Federation of Rome and Lazio while between 2006 and 2014 he was President of UNAPROL. The period between 2004 and 2008 marked Gargano’s career at the position of the President of the Olive Oil Consultative Group at the European Commission in Brussels. The period between 2005 and 2014 he was Chairman of the ANBI and between 2008 and January 2013 Gargano was Vice-President of National Coldiretti.
Starting from the 2014 he got the position of General Manager at ANBI and the Council member at ENPAIA Foundation. From April 30, 2015 Gargano is General Secretary SNEBI (National Union of Reclamation Bodies).
Since December 2015 he is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Foundation "Observatory on Crime in Agriculture and the Agro-Food System".
