Lucilla Minelli works as Programme Officer at the UNESCO World Water Assessment Programme in Perugia, Italy.
She leads WWAP pillar on “policy uptake, capacity development and advocacy” aimed at strengthening the Programme’s impact on policy-making and upscaling scientific dissemination. Lucilla has worked in the water sector for over ten years at the international level with UNESCO and NGOs focusing on sustainable development, hydrodiplomacy, water-related political processes and technical projects worldwide.
Her main areas of expertise include project management, water policy and governance, science diplomacy, capacity building, conflict resolution, international law, transboundary waters, and basic hydrogeology.
She holds a Master of Advanced Studies (M.A.S.) in International Affairs and Development with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America and she is fluent in English, Spanish and French besides her mother tongue, Italian.
