Gian Luca Galletti (Bologna, 1961) is Minister of Environment, Land and Sea.
Graduated in Economics and Business Sciences, certified Public Accountant. Official Auditor. Private practice as Accountant in Bologna, since 1989.
Councilman in Bologna Municipality from 1990 to 2009. From 2003 to 2005 he was member of the ministerial body for the Reform of Public Finances. Elected councilor in 2005, at the Regional Legislative Assembly of Emilia Romagna.
In 2006 he was elected Deputy to the Chamber; he has taken part of the Legislative Committee, in the Finance Commission, in the Special Commission for Examining Draft Laws and in the Parliamentary Committee for the Simplification of Legislation.
Reappointed to the Chamber in 2008, he was Vice President of the Treasury and Programming Committee and member of the Parliamentary Commission for the Implementation of Fiscal Federalism.
From 2013 to 2014 he was Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research during Enrico Letta's Government.
